France: Order from Naval Group (former DCNS) for the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle
The aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in Toulon is currently unavailable for reasons of maintenance and repair. Our client, Naval Group (former DCNS), has asked us to carry out shot blasting and to apply special solvent-free coatings over an area of over 3,500 m² (this is for an internal structure in the ship, in confined spaces).
Work began in late August and will continue in the coming months, involving 25 operators from the Major Painting Projects Agency. Simultaneous operations and short time frames for carrying out the work mean that it has to be done in shifts. Our business expertise and our knowledge of the risks relating to work in confined spaces are here widely acclaimed and appreciated by Naval Group. Our staff on the project is made up of Marine/Painting teams from Toulon and Cherbourg.
