Crane replacement and modification

PREZIOSO Linjebygg’s skill sets and equipment have been applied to a number of high profile projects related to crane replacement and crane modifications on offshore Oil & Gas installations. We provide studies and engineering, including preparation of method statements, in order to supply the most optimal solutions. We install and remove cranes and pedestals with efficient crews and methods.

Our experienced engineers and technicians are involved in both work preparations and on-site project execution, to optimise safety and efficiency in all stages of the project. Our projects typically comprise:

  • Site surveys to identify the need for temporary structures and lifting solutions
  • Calculations and design of substructures for temporary mobile crane installation
  • Local strength analysis and calculation of impacts on the existing structure
  • Weight control of crane sections to be dismantled
  • Prefabrication of support structures and pedestals
  • Offshore execution.
